The Best Ever EMT Cartridge - The New JSD
Series
The JSD series has been designed and released to
celebrate EMT's 66th anniversary. EMT has long
been known for its OEM cartridge work. Currently
EMT manufacturers the classic 1960's and '70's
broadcast standard cartridge TSD15 for Brinkmann
Audio (currently a class A Stereophile
recommended product), Tubaphon, Roksan and
several others. With their incredible results
and knowledge they took their technology several
steps further in materials quality to reach new
heights of performance.
The new JSD6 is $3495 and has
been designed to work with the majority of
quality tonearms on the market.
Half opened casing made from
and milled out of a massive block of purest special
aluminum. Gold plated system components. Normed
½ inc standard fastening for the use wit every ig
quality tone arm. Both types use a bare diamond
stylus, the JSD 5 in Gyger S, the JSD 6 in Super
Fineline version.
The JSD series was not only developed
and optimized in the laboratory but mainly in practice,
partly with the assistance of committed test listeners
who used their own records and partly by using legendary
old record players and also t e most modern ones,
as well as multitude tone arms during extensive
listening and comparative tests. Great importance
was given to maintaining the typical characteristics
of EMT, stressing in particular the know how which
is based on the large experience of our specialists.
Special attention as also been given to t e consistent
use of non exotic materials.
